Bright Hills Events
February 11, 2012: Bright Hills Baronial Birthday. Come to the Bright Hills to celebrate the Persian New Year, which usually occurs on March 21. It has been a tradition since the time of Zoraster (1750 to 600 BCE) and continues to this day. Our celebration will focus on the period following the demise of the Caliphate (661) up to the time of the Mongol invaders (1219). During this time, Nowruz was elevated to an even more important event. Nowruz was welcomed in a majestic hall, wherein servants had placed gold and silver plates and vases full of fruit and colorful flowers. Musicians and singers add to the festivities. Come and enjoy our merry celebration with sweets, displays of gold and red, flowers, candy, cookies, pastries and live plants. Wear your finest Persian garb and share in our Persian Feast. Bright Hills Meetings
Weekly Meetings
Fighter Practice and A&S Night are held on Friday nights from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM at 
Christ the King Church, 1930 Brookdale Road Baltimore, MD 21244. Click here for directions.
Practice includes heavy weapons, fencing, and archery (weather permitting) while Baronial artisans work on current projects and informal discussions of all sorts occur.
For safety purposes, children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Otherwise, the marshal in charge of the practice reserves the right to request the children and parent to leave. This is for both the fighters' and children’s safety.
The first fighter practice of the month is garb and dance night! While it is not required, please make an effort to wear garb to fighter practice.
Cancellation Policy: If Baltimore County, MD schools are closed due to inclement weather then fighter practice/A&S night in Bright Hills will be canceled.
Archery Practice, is held Sundays at the Baltimore Bowmen from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Click here for directions.

Monthly Baronial Meeting
The month baronial meeting is held on the third Sunday of each month, from 4 to 6pm, unless there is a holiday or event conflict. This meeting is open to the populace and is held at Christ the King Church in Woodlawn, Maryland, just off of the Baltimore Beltway, Security Blvd. Click here for directions.
Guild Meetings
Most of the guilds of Bright Hills have monthly meetings, though any one meeting may be canceled due to scheduling. Please contact the guild to confirm meeting dates and times.

Directions
Christ the King Church:
Get off the Baltimore Beltway (I-695) at Exit 17 (Security Blvd Exit). Take the exit going west toward Rolling Road, not the exit going east toward Woodlawn. Travel west along Security Boulevard about one-half mile, through traffic-lights at Belmont Avenue, Lord Baltimore Drive, and Rolling Road. Continue west for another block, until you reach Brookdale Road. The Episcopal Church of Christ the King is on your left. Make a left turn onto Brookdale, and then turn right into the Church parking lot.
