The following illuminations are scrolls done by the Bright Hills Illumination Guild.
Lord Denis de Dijon Award of Arms scroll is a wooden triptych based on the Hours of Henry VIII. This is done to also work as a devotional piece and is St. Sebastian (fol.179) made around 1500 by Jean Poyet.
This is a large piece about 3 feet by 5 feet and is on raw cotton canvas. This is based on heraldic display practices from the 1300's and was done as a "Thank You" for Sir Forgal.
Master Tristan Alexander's Court Baronage scroll. My first wooden triptych-style scroll. All the elements on this scroll are taken from Italian Renaissance manuscripts from 1450-1550 and can be found in the book The Painted Page.
This is the triptych closed and shows my accomplishment of Arms at the time of my receiving the Court Baron title.
Pearl scroll triptych based on Byzantine works.
The triptych closed with the badge of the Order of the Pearl .
