There are two basic kinds of archers in Atlantia: Target Archers and Combat Archers.
Target archers compete (for fun or for points) against their fellow target archers by shooting at paper or novelty targets. A specific kind of target-archery event is the Royal Round, in which archers shoot at 60 cm paper targets from 20, 30 and 40 yards distance.
Combat archers shoot at other fighters, using special equipment and armor. There is no age limit for target archery, just the ability to shoot safely an arrow 40 yards. To be a combat archer you must be at least 18 years old, have all the proper gear, and pass a test to make sure you know the rules. We try to hold archery practice as often as possible, at various sites throughout the Barony. I have some loaner equipment, but it is best if you were to buy your own.
